An undercover cop struggling to provide for his son and ailing wife, must infiltrate a ruthless gang. But things turn sour when another cop blows his cover and he quickly finds himself battling for his life and the lives of his family. Kung Wei (Jet Li), a undercover Chinese cop sent to track down a notorious criminal Po Kwong (Yu Rongguang) in Hong Kong. There, he ultimately teams with his son Johnny Kung (Xie Miao) and a another cop Anna Fong (Anita Mui), the both together are an incredible Kung Fu master-in-the-making. Together, they lay down the law in the final fight on Po. This is one incredible flick. It has everything: Great acting, great fighting, great humor, great warmth, great fighting, great feet, great explosions, great breath, great kid, great father, kick-a** cop, greeeaat women, great plot, wonderful story, great pace, amazing filming and of course; great fighting.

This has got to be one of the greatest movies ever. Even MI:2 looks dull compared to this. My recommendation? See this movie. Then see it again. Then rewind and see all the fight-sequences. This is a buyer, keeper and the greatest guy-entertainment ever. This is a very odd story and is hard to follow. Jet Li plays an undercover agent (police of some kind) who is assigned to infiltrate an organized crime gang headed by a ruthless martial arts master who is played by one of the worst actors I've ever seen. He is excellent in the fight scenes though and quite often surpasses Jet Li's skill.

Jet Li's young son is also a junior kung fu master and longs for his father's return home from frequent trips. His mother has become very sick recently though, and this only makes it worse.

This movie is worth seeing for the fantastic fight scenes, but the plot is too odd to even consider.
